A Thoughtful Christmas

Thomas Edison said, "There are few people who actually think, there are a few more who think they think, and then there are the great majority who would rather die than think."

I believe that our reluctance to think through things at a deeper level is due to Fear.  We are afraid of the risk associated with what we might find or discover when we thoughtfully explore certain things.  My prayer this Christmas is that you will use this awareness to thoughtfully explore the real meaning of Christmas.

I hope that you will enjoy all of the festivities  with family and friends, and I hope that you will thoughtfully explore the significance of the ultimate gift that our Heavenly Father gave us 2016 years ago when he sent Jesus to earth.  I hope that you will thoughtfully explore the life that Jesus lived and the ultimate sacrifice that he made for us on the cross.  And I hope that you will thoughtfully explore how fortunate we are that we don't have to earn this eternal gift, but rather we can simply accept it through faith in Jesus as our savior and way to the Father.

I hope that you will rejoice and celebrate this awesome gift and I wish you and yours a Merry Christmas!!
