Thanksgiving with cool weather, college football and hunting season is always one of my favorite times of the year. Mainly because all of the above can be shared with family and friends. This time of year I always take some time to reflect on what I am most thankful for. Of all our many blessings, this year I am most thankful for the gift of the many unbelievable relationships that I have in my life.
The most important relationship that we have is that which we share with our Heavenly Father. Through the Bible he leads us through guidance, offers continuous encouragement and he challenges us to become the best version of ourselves that we can possibly be. Since he made us imperfect, he promises to be with us every step of the way throughout our journey. No matter what happens, we can rest assured that he is ready to forgive us and will always be waiting with unconditional love.
This Thanksgiving, I encourage all of us to use our heavenly Father's example to maximize the relationships that we have. Take the initiative to lead by example when given the opportunity. Always encourage and always challenge those you love to become the best version of themselves that they can possibly be. And when they slip up, be quick to forgive and love them unconditionally.
I wish you and yours a Joyful Thanksgiving!
