Get Out There And Make Things Happen

Great things don't just happen.  There is never the perfect time to make a move.  Steve Jobs said it best: "Creativity comes from spontaneous meetings, from random discussions. You run into someone, you ask what they're doing, you say 'wow,' and soon your cooking up all sorts of ideas."

Here are a few ways to ensure that you aren't sitting in the bleachers:

1) Make sure you get out of the office as much as your job allows to talk to people and brainstorm.

2) When you are out there, always have an eye for opportunity. You will be amazed what doors can open if you are looking.

3) Next time you find yourself questioning whether or not to do something, go for it!

Opportunity is out there so make sure you put yourself in a position to capture it!

The picture in this post was taken this past December on Richard Branson's Necker Island at an Entrepreneur's Organization event I attended. You will find me standing on the far right (I'm in the Swift Straw shirt!).
